Sirens for Mocking Birds
I quest to find my redemptive song.
It
began with a thousand distant humming birds.
Crowded in trees beside the left and right along.
I am
dressed in black for the Journey.
Like a green Aurora bursting from trail dust
I make
my way from mocking bird sirens.
I don’t know where she hails from, but she mimicked a car
alarm.
She found
it amusing in that tree,
And decided to make a home out of my elliptic dewy dance.
We mock alongside for the amount of dew that God allows, and
sing our way back home.
