New poetry

A butterfly flew just as I watered the plants.

Something blue and black and happy.

It settled close as my heart pounded.

I reached for my phone eager to take a photograph. It would be something beautiful to have a butterfly let me borrow some of its time:

The light offered would be a lovely gift for a woman i like.

But it wouldn't sit still. Didn't make it easy.

Just as i thought I was ready it reminded me of the cat i petted earlier. The cat wasn't trusting, until there was nothing in the air between us.

The butterfly flew here there and such.

Wouldn't sit still, as if lady herself was telling me she can visit any wild place that pretends to be a garden and doesn't have to sit still for anyone.

It would be up to her to let me photograph.

Purple pink flowers sit as memory Lantana like hope.

But I sit here like a writer while the dirt stayed dry.

I noticed the plants needed water.

I went inside and used a bucket a friend of mine said i could use to water the plants.

I watered the plants. The peace of sunlight filtered through the vines just for me.

I finish watering my plants and went to work and went on with my day.

I sit here very quietly waiting for work.

Im eating a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and drink some ice coffee. A chocolate Churro flavored one.

Its a new type passport frappuccino drink one could easily find at any kroger.

I like to drink.
