People who had been predatory in my experience exploited a weakness in vulnerable adults, which is the desire to be parented as an adult.
This usually comes in the form of seeking friends to give them structure. Seeking friends to compensate for a lack of skills.
Everyone needs friends and everyone needs support. I'm not suggesting that friends and support and structure isnt necessary because they are.
In fact being teachable and being willing to be "crippled" in some unnecessary way seems to be how others can keep a strong person accountable and human and knowable and relationship oriented.
The god Ra is an archetype of what happens when a human being reaches his or her human potential without human checks. Just a god at the edge of chaos forever unknowable beyond human understanding.
That's what ive been avoiding. Ive had the same responsibility as Ra and been tutored to not make his mistakes.
But in order to manage the chaos one has to be beyond the reach of those who dont have to face the chaos. The responsibility imposes eternal independence on a human being.
That means that parenting a Ra like figure like me is difficult.
All the strategies have kept anyone from the chaos because the chaos is what ive tamed. The chaos is everyone's disciplinarian.
Thats why my strategies also include an expertise on adaptable independence.
Chaos becomes evil when something is of greater value than the human who values it. Something greater than yourself is what causes evil and chaos to enter the world.
And yet there are higher gods than ourselves.
Being teachable to keep chaos at bay is the great unifying peaceful force.
All the independent values are in this blog.
Honor. Love. Cleverness. Sincerity. Respect. Courage.
These qualities separate a person from the values attachment to anything but the person who values that.
Friendship. Family. Love.
These are the secondary values that come from the independent values.
But if the values arent independent of any external ties it would be impossible to discern value from chaos.
Thats why morality isn't loyalty to an external value.
Thats the real root of all evil.
