Jamie was stuck in a connundrum in 2017.
If she told the truth about the present she would have lost the future. If she lied about how dependent she was on me then she could carry wisdom I'd earned there into the future for herself as an umbrella for me that is clearly in her interests to preserve my independence and her own.
Thats how i guaranteed i could trust her and myself no matter what.
